Work Continues

This part of the project seems to drag on and on.  Just cutting out the pieces to assemble the cabinet is tedious and boring.  Sunday I managed to cut out the other upper side section and the panels that will become the back of the cabinet, including the smallish back door piece.   The three back pieces are looking good though.  After getting them cut out and notched, they fit together nicely and all seem to be square and of the correct length.   Laugh if you want, just getting the pieces cut evenly can be a challenge for me at times.

The very top back section had an exhaust fan to blow the hot air away from the monitor.  I was able to remove the old piece from the cabinet, actually it fell right off when I touched it.  After removing the old fan and screen material, I was able to use it to trace the opening on the new panel.

I hope to get the back panels laminated soon.  They should look nice once the laminate is installed and it will provide some added strength.  I'm beginning to wish I had used plywood to make this cabinet, or at least the doors.

    1. No, never finished this project. I totally forgot about this, really it was too ambitious. I have the board and some spare parts if interested.
